![]() There are a couple of different types of Veneer Structures that is usually built with brick, stone, or manufactured stone.
Adhered Veneer This is the most common as it is directly pasted to the structure, normally a wall. Sometimes, buildings need beams and posts and its sole purpose is to help support the roof or floor above. However, the support isn't always that flattering to look at and it is begging for a face lift. Luckily, there is a solution to making that building looking lovely and natural. With a layer of mortar, the beam or post can be wrapped in a masonry product of your choice of aesthetic appeal. Of course this process isn't just limited to those things but virtually to anything structurally sound! The most common are exterior walls and fireplaces. Anchored Veneer This type of veneer leaves a gap between itself and the structured wall, typically masonry concrete, concrete, wood or metal framing. The wall helps support the weaker wall by anchors, and the gap allows room for drainage and additional insulation. This can be a more economic solution as it is lighter and can require less labor. Masonry contracting work installs value to properties. However with the material and labour costs, it is not cheap compared to regular building. What is most common is adding masonry accents in and around the house to spice up the property and making it feel truly more like home. Veneer installations are one of the most common ways to do so. Veneer Fronts
When building a home, or looking to buy a house, we know very well that the first impression upon arriving on location is quite important. Unless the front yard is decked right out, the front face of the building is what every neighbour and passerby sees, even without having to meet you! It is with this simple fact that most houses have features at the front of the property rather than anywhere else, especially if it was built on a tight budget.
With that being said, veneer installations are applied to the front end of the building. Again, depending on the budget, choices are decided between approximately half way up the wall, the first floor, or the entire front. This way, the sides and the back of the house can be finished with siding and other cost efficient materials. Everyone will hardly notice the siding since the front shows the most.
Furthermore, there are hundreds of variations, styles, and colours to choose from to differ your house from anyone else's
